Captain of the 3rd Company, master weaponsmith, and owner of the Obsidian Blade, one of twelve incredibly potent relic weapons crafted by the Copper Dragons first Chapter Master, Hephaestus. The Obsidian Blade is named for its jet-black appearance when dormant, but while it is wielded by it's rightful owner, the blade superheats from its core outward, melting, and simultaneously cleaving in half, even the thickest ceramite plating with a single slash. During his initiation, Surtr flawlessly crafted a combi-melta to a standard beyond even that of his instructor.
